This community initiative creates an opportunity for families to learn about where food comes from and how to garden, all while enjoying the peace and tranquility of the outdoors.

In the Spring we plant gardens throughout our community based on available spaces. We also plant a garden at our location. All of these gardens are maintained by the Root Cellar Food & Wellness Hub. We welcome anyone to come into these gardens to help care for them.

We take these gardening opportunities to educate children on where food comes from. Have you ever asked your child where carrots come from only to hear "the grocery store". Well this is the opportunity to show children how food is grown and let them experience what it takes to care for a garden from planting to harvest.
Once the produce is ready you are welcome to pick it and enjoy it at home. We only ask that you help keep our space beautiful and clean for everyone to enjoy.
