We are thrilled to announce that The Root Cellar Food & Wellness Hub has been accredited through Food Bank Canada’s Standards of Excellence program. This accreditation is a testament to our team’s hard work and dedication to providing our clients with the highest quality of service.These standards are designed as a baseline set of guidelines to which we,and the rest of the food banking network are accountable. They will be used to benchmarkfuture performance improvements in client service, food operations, safe food handling, and more. They reflect the food banking network’s thoughtful leadership and commitment to continually enhancing our collective capabilities to relieve hunger today and prevent hunger tomorrow

The Brown Bag Lunch Program helps ensure children in our community have access to nutritious lunches during the school day. Currently, the program supports students in 43 schools across Southern Alberta, providing lunches that include a sandwich, fresh vegetables, fruit, yogurt, and a granola bar.

By purchasing a ticket in our Brown Bag Lunch 50/50, you’re doing more than taking a chance to win, you’re directly investing back into our community. Funds raised will help us continue feeding kids who need it most, reducing hunger barriers and supporting learning, focus, and overall well-being in the classroom.
